Sterling Brown is doing the right thing when it comes to mental health. As the most upstanding, responsible and empathetic sibling, Randall had a lot of responsibilities growing up. Eventually his wife, Beth Susan Kelechi Watson, helped him realize that asking for support was not a sign of weakness or failure. Randall still has doubts when he enters the therapist's office—he is, after all, a smart and self-aware man.
